When I attempt to register, the registration type appears grayed-out.
You must first log-in for the system to recognize you as that particular registration type.
I’ve logged in but when I attempt to register, the registration type is still grayed-out.

My town is paying for my registration fee and/or meal. How do I get an invoice to submit to the town?
Please register and the system will prompt you for payment method. Select invoice and one will be sent to the email address you used to register.
I am a speaker, board member or a conference committee member and the system is asking for a special code.
Please contact the Conference Director or, if you’re a speaker, connect with your program shepherd to provide you with the special registration code.
I would like to just attend the dinner on Monday and/or Tuesday night and do not plan to attend the conference. How do I go about doing that?
Please contact the Conference Director to provide you with a special registration code. Your special name badge will only be available at the dinner itself and will not grant you access to the conference.
I am a student, retired or unemployed – do I get a special rate to attend conference?
There is a special rate for student, retired and unemployed attendees but you must be member of MLA to obtain the discount. Please log-into the system first and then register. Your MLA membership type must be also be reflected as such to be able to take advantage of this discounted rate.
I would like to just check out the exhibit hall and not attend the conference. Is this possible?
At this time, we do not offer an exhibits-only pass.
How do I go about arranging for a group registration?
If you have more than 10 people from the same library attempting to register, contact the Conference Director to assist. We are unable to offer group discounted rates at this time.
We’re part of a Platinum or Gold Institutional Membership, how many comp registrations do we get?
A Platinum membership grants three (3) 1-day passes or one (1) 3-day pass to attend conference.
A Gold membership grants two (2) 1-day passes or one (1) 2-day pass to attend conference.
Additional member attendees from the same institution beyond the comp registrations outlined above would then register at the regular member rate. Contact the Conference Director to register your institutional membership.
I’ve registered already but what if my plans change?
Registration for the conference is non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to another party easily at no charge. Please contact the Conference Director to assist with transferring your registration.
I’d really like to attend but having a hard time justifying with my library director – any suggestions?

Do you allow walk-in registrations?
I’d like to take advantage of the special conference room rate – how long is it available for?
The special conference rate ends on April 19 – please book your room using the link found on our Accommodations page. If you book after April 19, the special conference rate will not be available.
I’d like to come in a day early or leave a day later – do I still get the same special conference rate?
Yes, the special conference rate is available three days prior and three days post conference.
ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE
What should I wear or bring?
Business casual attire is recommended for both conference and the evening events. Comfortable shoes are also recommended since you’ll be walking to and from sessions and potentially up and down stairs. The hotel does its best to monitor temperatures in the meeting space, but we recommend bringing a light sweater in the event it may too cold for your taste.
It may also be helpful to bring any of the following: business cards, phone/laptop/tablet and charger, paper/pen for taking notes and your medications.
The Conference does its best to accommodate attendees with special needs. All such requests must be made in writing and received by May 15th. Please send your request to the Conference Manager.
Elevators and ADA Access
There are elevators to access the meeting space and the venue is ADA compliant.
Will there be gender-neutral bathroom?
Yes, there is a gender-neutral bathroom located on the main level next to the Board Room.
Will there be a Mother’s Room?
Yes, there will be a designated Mother’s Room throughout the duration of conference. Please obtain the key to this room at the registration desk.
Seating is done on a first-come, first-served basis for all sessions and evening events. Unfortunately, requests for special seating cannot be accommodated.
How do I get my badge?
Your badge, meal tickets and registration materials will be available at the registration desk. However, if you are just attending a dinner, your special name badge will be available at the dinner.
You must wear your name badge at all times during the conference including meals.
I heard that lunch is included in my registration – is this true?
Yes, you heard correctly! Lunch is now included with your registration*. Exhibitor registration includes one lunch per exhibit per day (Monday and Tuesday).
*There are a few exceptions for those who are getting complimentary registration due to their participation level. Please contact your program shepherd if you are a speaker or the Conference Manager if you are a conference committee member or board member.
Will there be gluten-free/dairy-free/vegan/vegetarian/kosher meals available to me?
Yes, please indicate your special request in your registration and we’ll do our best to accommodate. For breakfasts and evening events, the food is served buffet style with a variety of items bearing these special needs in mind. Lunches will be boxed lunches.
Do I need a meal ticket to get lunch and dinner?
Yes, there will be a meal ticket to hand to the hotel staff to receive access to your lunch or dinner.
Is there a fee for breakfast?
No, there is no fee to attend any of the breakfasts including the MLA Business Meeting breakfast.
Will there be beverages and refreshment breaks during the conference?
I’ve registered for a dinner but I can no longer attend.
If you cancel prior to May 13, we can work with you to refund the dinner fee. Unfortunately, after that date, we cannot issue refunds.
I’m not sure if I can attend the evening events, can I make up my mind on-site?
Yes, there will be a limited number of tickets for the evening events available for purchase on-site.

I really want to participate in karaoke and have a specific song and version in mind.
Great! Please indicate your song and version in the registration form and we'll work with the service provider to accommodate.
I want to participate in the Trivia Challenge but I don’t have a team.
Not to worry, you will be assigned to a team when you arrive.
