About
The Reference and User Services Section (RUSS) meets 4 times a year, usually at the MA Library System office in Marlborough. The meetings will include a short business meeting followed by a discussion on a relevant topic to reference and user services. Previous topics have included immigration, programming, and mental health. All MLA members are welcome at the meetings.
RUSS also develops programs for the MLA Annual Conference.
Bylaws for the MLA Reference User Services Section
The Reference and User Services Section (RUSS) provides professional development and guidance for those who work in reference, information, user, and adult services. These opportunities exist via sessions at the Massachusetts Library Association (MLA) Annual Conference, stand alone programs, section meetings, and other opportunities throughout the year. All who work or are interested in reference and user services are encouraged to become involved in the section.
